Just wanted to let you know that we had a brilliant time out in Madonna di Campiglio. We loved the Montana. Rosetta was a sweetie and Lorenzo drove us out of town one night to a different restaurant, they couldn't have been more helpful and we thought it much better to be slightly out of town AND with such great access to the slopes. Weather-wise we had the perfect week.

We were absolutely fine without a guide, all very easy. I think we had the nightmare of the 3 Valleys on the brain where you certainly need a guide and the Italians are miles better with their signs on the slopes, we were very impressed.

We went to the Zeledria several times for lunch which was brilliant, missed out on a reservation for Jilly's birthday but had an amazing meal at the Ferrari restaurant instead, Rosetta's suggestion.

All in all a great holiday and a place we would all go back to. Many thanks for all your hard work.

I just want to tell you and any of your clients how well our family ski holiday went in Madonna di Campiglio. It is a beautiful location and the ski runs are superb. More than that I want to thank you for your excellent organisation, which included the ski school for our son. It saved us a lot of time at the resort and took loads of the stress out of the first day as we did not have to arrange anything. The Majestic hotel was superbly equipped and located. The staff were delightful.

We will certainly want to book with you again. I hope you have a very successful year.

Hi Dominic,

I don't think I will be skiing anywhere else for a while. We absolutely loved it, the village was gorgeous, hotel was extremely comfortable and had everything we needed, especially food and lots of it. It all really worked for us.

In the beginning we were a bit disappointed to be so far away from the village centre, but it actually worked for us as the shuttle bus was always on time. Other people who I met during my ski lessons stayed more centrally, but had to walk on icy pavements to their designated ski lifts while we waited on time for our ski school pick up bus in the mornings and then after skiing at the end of the day for our hotel pick up shuttle and didn't have to do any walking and carrying of heavy equipment. On a couple of occasions when there were more people waiting than spaces on the bus, the driver would call for another bus and they would pick us up in 5 minutes.

Ski lessons were well organised, it was a bit unusual to have them from 3 different places depending on levels and ages, but that also worked for us as we were dropped by the school bus, and on some mornings when some of us needed to go earlier we used the hotel shuttle.

Hotel was really lovely, had all the cons one would need on a ski holiday. Ski room was easily accessible with enough space for everybody's equipment. We used the swimming pool only once, the water was a little cold but the pool area was really pretty and we spend some time sitting on the warm marble slabs which was very relaxing. The moment I finished skiing I would start looking forward to the cakes served in a hotel lobby on a table with the warm wine for people returning from long day skiing, all famished. Breakfast choice was simple but enough and dinner was big and delicious. We all really enjoyed the choice and quality of food, way ahead of anything one could have in a catered chalet or in a hotel of a different standard. The restaurant service was impeccable too.

Probably the most positive thing to say is that we were pleasantly surprised with an incredibly quick reaction of ski carabinieri when our daughter was hit by a snow border who lost control. It was very upsetting and worrying for us as we sow it happened and didn't know if she was seriously hurt, but one of the carabinieri turned up within seconds, called for the sledge which was brought within 3-5 minutes, they quickly strapped her in and skied down with her to the bottom of Spinale where there was an ambulance with paramedics waiting. Luckily, she was fine, just a very bad bruise on her hip and she was in a lot of shock but their reaction was amazing. I was later told that it was a normal thing in Madona di Campiglio, that the slopes are full of patrolling carabinieri and they also have cctv cameras for catching and prosecuting people who offend and don't stop. They also have helicopters at disposal and one turns up within 10 minutes of having any need for it. It was all very reassuring, making me want to come back somewhere where they take your safety so seriously.

The village is also lovely, we are not great shoppers in general and we have heard of Credit Crunch as well so I can't vouch for the quality of shops.

Ski school was great, their teachers were of high level and experience , my children complained of low level English of their teachers and for my middle and my youngest one it was difficult to be in an Italian only group, but they managed and had fun, learning a lot on the way. Maybe next time we would top up their morning group lessons with private English speaking tuition in the afternoon and then they would have the best of both worlds.

One thing that you or anybody in Madona in Campiglio can not take the credit for is the fantastic snow and great weather, full 6 days skiing with sun shining, oh no there was one morning a little bit cloudy as my middle daughter said, not knowing how lucky we were, they just took it for granted.

I think I covered pretty much everything, do let me know if you have a particular question. We definitely want to go back next year so you can start making a proposal and the quote.

We had a great break, loved the slopes, the hotel was clean and well situated. Staff all very professional and attentive. Loved Alexandro, the Maitre D.

Loved the Sky Wellness Spa, clearly a huge investment, well designed - FANTASTIC

In retrospect, we should have tried to get the flights back from Verona - Milan was a long drive. All in all, we'd recommend the resort and the hotel for the Spa.

Hi Dominic - had a fabulous time, thank you for arranging everything- all ran smoothly apart from when one suitcase did not arrive and we decided to wait at the airport as it was on the next flight out - waited 2 hours but the driver was very accommodating and excellent.

The Hotel Miramonti was fantastic and all staff very helpful. "The Skiing!" well as quoted by my husband - was the second best week his had in the last 25 years of skiing, the snow conditions and weather were the best we're had for a long time.

Vito- the girls loved and he was a very patient tutor, however Mr. & Mrs. Dodhia had to change to him after two days as they did not find they instructor very patient/helpful. On changing to Vito they then enjoyed the skiing and did well considering they are total beginners.

Overall - it's a place where we would visit again!!

Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our week in Madonna di Campiglio.

The dinners were good with nice variety (some days were better than others). The wait staff was EXCELLENT. We were happy with the location of the Majestic and with the service from the front desk staff (everyone was very friendly). We were also pleased with the ski school that you selected for us (although it was not the same one aligned with the hotel). My three kids (all intermediate skiers), received strong instruction (my oldest said after the second day, "mom, they actually give some instruction here instead of just babysitting us.") All three of my kids showed significant improvement this week (which is not always the case after a week in ski school). I know that our friends were extremely pleased with the babysitter.

At your suggestion we took one afternoon off of skiing and went snow shoeing. We loved it. This is the first time that I have not made all of the arrangements myself when we have travelled and I must admit that it was nice. Thanks for your help.

Oh, and thanks for arranging the record breaking amount of snow and sun for seven straight days. The skiing conditions were fantastic.

We had a fantastic time and loved the resort, the skiing (very flattering to those of us who prefer their red runs to be on the blue-ish side) and, especially, the hotel (Bio Hotel Hermitage). The welcome and service we received there was exceptional (Barbara is a star) and as for the food...suffice to say that dinner was always a highlight of our day and that I've been eating salads ever since to shift the extra pounds I gained! The minibus service into town worked brilliantly, too. Most days we had the pool to ourselves whenever we used it and the views from there had to be the best you'll ever see in a spa.

The atmosphere in the town was great because of the Ferrari presence and the beautiful classic cars for the Winter Marathon. We didn't see Michael Schumacher, but Bernie Ecclestone was eating at the hotel! It's certainly somewhere we'd consider going back to, which is very unusual for us - perhaps a summer jaunt next time. And I've passed on your details to three sets of our skiing friends, with the warmest of recommendations.
