Alpine Skiing

Madonna di Campiglio is renowned throughout the Alps for its state of the art lift network. An advanced remote reading system for ski passes eliminates queues, and the efficiently designed integrated lift network gives skiers easy access to every run with lifts leaving directly from the town centre. There are direct connections to the Folgarida-Marileva lifts offering a vast ski area with interlinked slopes.


The resort's connection to snow boarding dates from the first appearance of this sport on the international scene. A huge investment has been made in this discipline. Madonna di Campiglio,regularly, plays host to top level events including the FIS World Championship.

The Ursus snowpark is located in a natural bowl at the top of the Groste ski lift and is divided into five different areas, with challenges for all grades of boarders.

Dog sledding

Sledding and mushing courses are available on a daily basis during the winter season, under the mindful eye of a qualified instructor. These courses can be booked through our office.

Ice skating

The natural open air ice rink can be seen from just about everywhere in Madonna di Campiglio. Open all winter, the rink freezes naturally. Open all winter, the rink freezes naturally. This does, of course, mean that if the temperature rises, the ice melts. Still, when the ice is there, this is a great place to have some fun. Skates can be rented at the nearby bar. The rink also doubles up as a venue for various events.

Cross country skiing

There are several cross country trails in the resort with another available in Carisolo, a few kilometres away. The resort trails all begin at Campo Carlo Magno:

3.5 km Baby path (easy)
7.5 km Sprint path (intermediate)
10.5 km World Cup path (difficult)

5 km Frassanida path (equipped with homologated signs, bathrooms and ski waxing room) and a 3km floodlit ring with a cross country training centre recognised by FISI can be found at Carisolo.


There are two flying sites in Madonna di Campiglio and another in Pinzolo. The first is at the top of the Pradalago lift with the second on top of Mount Spinale. In Pinzolo there is the Doss del Sabion jump, with a vertical drop of over 1000 metres.

Snow shoeing (Alpine guide recommended)

Snow shoeing treks can be organised through our office for individuals or parties. Most trekking takes place in the late afternoon with an arranged stop for wine and snacks at a mountain refuge.Then a slow walk down, taking in the sunset and arriving back at your hotel in time for a deserved rest before dinner.

Ice climbing (Alpine guide recommended)

For guests who want to test their mettle against nature, this extreme sport will certainly get the adrenaline rushing. Ice climbing is available on Nambrone, Vallesinella and Nardis falls.
